Since 1985 Breaking Away has invited fitness, touring and racing cyclists to join them on cycling vacations that "exceed all expectations". The Ride
Breaking Away’s trips cater to riders who enjoy the rush of a sweeping descent or the thrill of reaching the summit of a famous switchback climb as much as appreciating the beautiful scenery and culture along the way. All trips offer two to three daily ride options of 30 to 70 miles where you choose your distance, pace and partners. They never do one large group ride where you feel like you have to keep up or feel you're being held back. You will be treated like adults who like flexibility in making your own decisions in exploring a quaint village, getting that amazing photo or taking a cappuccino break... not a pre-set decision made by a group “Pied Piper” ride leader.
Professional Staff
Every trip is accompanied by Founder & Tour Director, Greg Hogan, to insure you a quality to detail vacation where nothing is left to chance. His experienced staff includes Mitchell Clinton (professional bike mechanic who has worked Mavic support for the Tour de France and Paris-Roubaix), Teri Hatchett (she’s the team’s “Julie from the “Love Boat” - ready to help with any of your needs, especially if shopping is on your mind!), Guillaume Dassonville (French native who is fluent in Italian, German and English) and Glen Allen (Pro mechanic and fluent in French). These are all avid riders who will be sharing the road with you on your adventure on a rotating basis as well as caring for you out on the road in the company’s cell phone equipped support vans. Breaking Away provides you the most professional staff in the business with a ratio of one Tour Leader for every seven guests and two to three cell phone equipped support vans.

Reservation Policy
To reserve space, please submit a completed Reservation Form along with your deposit of $600 per person, per tour (check or money orders - credit cards are accepted for trip deposits only). The balance is due 90 days prior to trip departure. Reservations are non-transferable.
Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel your trip, your deposit will be returned less a 50% cancellation fee if notification is provided up to 90 days prior to trip departure date (e-mails are not accepted). If notification is received less than 90 days before departure, there is a full refund minus the deposit if your space can be filled.
