Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Oxford Arrive in Oxford on Friday and check into your hotel located close to the heart of the city. Enjoy the treasures of this beautiful city and stroll through the colleges of the university with their magnificent architecture. Take in the museums, galleries and libraries galore, and perhaps a concert or play. Discover the little tea rooms and fine restaurants, the unique shops and back streets and the river backwaters dotted with punters and rowing eights.
Day 2: A Cycle Ride of 24 Miles At a time to suit you, make your way to base, which is close to your hotel and is open from 9:00am to pick up your cycling equipment. Your host will meet you there, organize your bicycle and run through your itinerary. Then you are off on a rural waterside ride to the Cotswold stone village of Woodstock. Here you can explore grandiose Blenheim Palace with its 2000 acres of Capability Brown landscape. Winston Churchill was born here and its now home to the 11th Duke of Marlborough. Leafy Cotswold lanes now beckon as you ride through timeless villages to your overnight stay in a Cotswold inn nestled in the heart of this charming village.
Day 3: A Cycle Ride of 2 Miles There's a pretty and varied ride today that meanders through unspoiled countryside to the Cotswold town of Witney. Take in its history and relax before heading to the Thames meadows - wild and beautiful. They lead you right into the heart of Oxford with lots to discover before you arrive there. Return your bikes to base by 4:00pm and your luggage will be waiting for you. Love it!
