Day 1: Arrival in Vilde Arrive to Oviedo, Santander or Bilbao airports and transfer by train or coach to Vilde. Day 2: Circular Tour 25 Miles/40km Today you have your first cycle ride in this beautiful region in full view of the Picos mountains. It is a circular cycle ride from your base in Vilde. It is a wonderful undulating tour through the rolling hills on the border between Cantanbria and Asturias. Day 3: Vilde to Cué 20.6 Miles/33km Today you take a quiet ride into the province of Asturias. If you like, you can stop off to visit the Cueva del Pindal, with its prehistoric cave paintings, or the Romanesque ruins of Santa Tina Church. Cue is a little coastal village (0.5km) just east of Llanes. If you wish you can take the short ride into Llanes for a look around this wonderful Spanish town. Day 4: Cué to Villanueva de Pria 17-21 Miles/27-34km Today you can select one of two options for your cycle ride. The ascent to enjoy lovely views from Cueragebergte, or a gentler ride through green hills. Along the way there are several spots where you can go for a paddle in the sea along the more easier coastal route. Day 5: Villanueva to Sales 19 Miles/30km Today once again you follow the pilgrim route the Saint James’ Way along the coast and over the foothills of the Sierra del Sueve. Day 6: Sales to Agüero 24 Miles/38km via Tazones Today it is downhill towards the coast. Agüero is an estuary town, with its inviting historical center, and was once an important stop on the Camino de Santiago the Pilgrim route, which runs along the Northern Spain to Santiago. Day 7: From Agüero to Gijon 17 Miles/27 km The ride for your last day is slightly shorter but starts off with a good ascent. Then from 220 m. you sail down into the city of Gijon and along the beautiful boardwalk of San Lorenzo beach to your hotel. Day 8: Your holiday ends today after breakfast. |
