Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Beaune. Wander through the picturesque narrow streets of this pretty town with its magnificent old buildings, pausing perhaps to indulge in some wine-tasting. Your bicycle is waiting for you, so you can also enjoy an short south to Pommard and back.
Day 2 : Explore the vineyards of the Côte d’Or South among wine villages with names familiar to wine lovers around the world. Head as far as Meursault or Puligny-Montrachet.
Day 3: Head into the Côte d’Or North. Explore more wine villages as you bike to Aloxe-Corton, a famous wine town. Take it easy along a short, flat route (38 km/24 mi). Add on a loop into the hills, returning through rich farmland (52 km/30 mi).
Day 4: Enjoy an easy, mainly flat ride into the countryside east of Beaune, among wheat and canola fields through charming villages like Verdun-sur-les-Doubs, famous for its fish stew . Then depart for your next adventure.
Option 5: Hop the Train to Dijon Take a city break in Dijon, admire its rich architectural heritage, visit museums, do some shopping, and track down some the city's gastronomical specialties like the famous mustard.
