Peter Easton, Owner and Director
Velo Classic Tours was founded by Peter Easton, who set out to establish a unique brand of cycling tours focused on exemplary customer service. Peter has been involved in cycling and the cycling industry for 20 years, and regularly contributes to industry activities, including anti-doping round tables and special functions at the UCI Headquarters in Aigle, Switzerland, and has attended numerous mechanics clinics and certification courses.
Peter attended Syracuse University, graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, and obtained his professional license in New York and New Jersey. While studying abroad in Florence, Italy, Peter came under the spell of the European lifestyle and began to educate himself on the lifestyles and cultures of Western Europe. A trip to the 1994 Giro d'Italia put the idea in his head that his love for cycling and European culture would be ideal together. While on a disappointing trip to Verona, Italy, with an alternate tour operator, Peter conceptualized his plan, and returned home eager to implement his new business idea.
Seven years later, Velo Classic Tours has developed into a personalized, professional tour company that caters to the individualized experience for the cycling enthusiast. Peter is responsible for the development and facilitation of every trip on his schedule, and vows never to lose the personal touch that comes with traveling with Velo Classic Tours.
